Ushering in the first decade of the Twenty-first Century, ADCO developed, designed, built, owned and operated BACARA, a five-star, 360-room, ocean-front resort on 35 secluded acres in Santa Barbara, California. With unparalleled vision and tenacity, ADCO pursued the entitlement process for 20 years to make possible Bacara’s 360 rooms, 3 heated swimming pools, a 42,000 square foot spa, 3 signature restaurants, 25,500 square feet of social and meeting spaces, an advanced technology business center and a 220-seat directors’ screening room.

ADCO sold the resort in 2011, but retained a 1,050-acre avocado ranch, Tecolote, upon which a vast wilderness/agricultural preserve with secluded home sites is anticipated to be reconfigured.
