Kips Bay Towers

In 1981, ADCO completed the Kips Bay Towers Condominium Conversion in New York City,
one of the first, largest and most successful conversions of its kind. Seventy percent of the
complex's 1,118 units were purchased in the conversion; fifty percent of those sales were
to Kips Bay Towers residents. One of the first residential buildings designed by I.M. Pei and
originally named Kips Bay Plaza, this legendary 7.5-acre urban renewal project is comprised
of twin 20-story towers and a landscaped square.
